    The Phoenix Nursing Programme: Rising from the fire

    On 1 February 2021, the military seized power in Myanmar, prompting health care workers - alongside teachers, civil servants, and students - to join a nationwide civil disobedience movement. Nursing care continued, but it moved underground. The Phoenix Bachelor of Nursing Science was created through partnerships between Myanmar universities and the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ in the UK. Each theory module is jointly taught by Myanmar faculty and international nursing academics, with subject specialists included. Its aim is simple: to deliver high quality nursing education in conflict affected Myanmar.
