RCN branches
RCN branches bring members together at a local level to make a real impact on the nursing profession and patient care.
Powered by the expertise, passion and commitment of members, branches are where ideas are shared, voices are amplified and meaningful change begins.
Through your local branch, you can advocate for the issues that matter most in your workplace and community, helping to build the influence needed to shape the future of nursing. Branches are also a space to learn and grow, offering access to RCN resources and supporting your professional development alongside peers.
Just as importantly, branches create opportunities to connect. They foster a sense of community and belonging, enabling members to build strong networks, share experiences and form lasting connections.
Each branch is supported by a dedicated executive team that keeps everything running smoothly and ensures members’ voices are heard. Alongside these key roles, many members contribute in informal ways: helping to organise events, support communications and bring branch activity to life.

Chair
Leads the branch to success and holds space to ensure all voices are heard loud and clear.
Secretary
Keeps branch organised and on track with activities and due process. They are the heartbeat of branch activities.
Treasurer
Keeps track of branch spending and ensures the use of branch resources in the most effective way to best support our members.
