In partnership with London and South East England Learning Disabilities services, the Â鶹ÊÓƵ is hosting a free member-led conference to promote Learning Disability Nursing.
This event will directly contribute to the RCN UK Review of Learning Disabilities Nursing and will provide an unmissable opportunity to capture live insights from Registered Nurses in Learning Disabilities (RNLDs), showcase good practice, and explore key workforce issues specifically related to London and the South East, and how this fits with the UK landscape for the field.
The UK LD Nursing Review is a UK-wide initiative with four objectives:
- Assess the state of RNLD careers, including recruitment, retention, and identity challenges.
- Gather grassroots RNLD perspectives across all four nations.
- Foster collaboration between NHS, higher education, and professional bodies.
- Produce evidence-based recommendations for workforce sustainability by March 2026.
Eligibility:
Please note that only Registered Nurses in Learning Disabilities and key stakeholders from across London and the South East are eligible to book onto this conference. We are keen to engage nurses across all settings, including learning disability nursing students.

We have space on the agenda for 3 short presentations of good practice in Learning Disability Nursing. If you have a practice example you would like to share please email us with a summary (less than 100 words) of what you would like to share.
We also have space for 8 poster presentations during the event. If you would like to display a poster of your work please contact us to let us know what you would like to share.
